I like the idea of it. It fits in my jean pocket. I can organize my left pocket. I can fit my EDC light, pin and my cell phone in my left pocket and it is not a mess. I just start using it, and it is comfortable. I like the gray color. I am going to continue to use it. It is now part of my EDC. It is thin and durable. It is a good idea. If you want to organize your pocket, this is it.
The Pocket Shield was conceived by Chris Fry, owner of MDTS Training, and was co-developed with, and manufactured by Raven Concealment Systems.
The Pocket Shield is a flexible, modular platform which allows an individual to securely and discreetly carry a small defensive implement (such as a firearm, pistol magazine, fixed-blade or folding knife, flashlight, canister of pepper spray, expandable baton or other impact weapon, multi-tool, etc) inside the front pocket of jeans or dress pants without visible pocket clips or printing.
The Pocket Shield is shaped to ride comfortably in the front pocket of most pants, and provides consistent orientation within the pocket to facilitate quick-access and deployment of an individual’s light or weapon. The platform is made from flexible, high-strength polymer that conforms to the shape of the user’s body for all-day carry comfort; yet it is rigid enough to remain anchored securely inside the pocket during strenuous movement or weapon deployment.
The unique mounting slots on the Pocket Shield allow users to attach nearly any small knife sheath or pocket holster to the platform at a wide range of angles. It can even be trimmed by the user to facilitate achieving a full fighting grip on the weapon or to fit in smaller pockets.
The Pocket Shield not only provides a stable platform – it masks the profile of whatever is attached to it. This is especially important for those who must wear dress pants or other garments made with thin, clingy material.
The Pocket Shield has been tested and fielded both domestically and abroad in a variety of non-permissive environments, with excellent results. This simple tool is a must-have for anyone conducting low-profile/no-profile missions.
Like all RCS products, the Pocket Shield is 100% U.S.-made, and is covered by our unconditional lifetime guarantee.
I put off buying the pocket shield for about two years. Ordered on Sunday and had shipping notification Monday morning. Arrived Wednesday. Super fast. I did not realize it comes with hardware. This thing is amazing and fit my pocket very well. I might have to order a three pack next. Thank you!
The shield does hide what is in your pocket. When looking at the pocket it looks like something squarish is in your pocket. It does tend to move or change position a little not sure if there if it will take time to stop doing that but i still use it. I like hiding my flashlight and pepper gel behind it.
This invention has saved me so much money in the pocket knives and flashlights I would have lost over the last 4 years! Seriously, I used to loose 1-2 of each per year so I limited my price point to a Spyderco delica or less. I haven't lost one since using this. I still carry the last delica I bought. Maybe I'll give it to my son, and pick up something a little fancier since I know I probably won't loose it. So, yeah. Every day, into every pair of pants or shorts holding a delica and a Klarus XT2C flashlight. For 4 years.
This is a useful and well designed piece of kit. It fits well in my work trousers and TAD coverts. I don't find it first at all. It is flexible as it needs to curve sightly in the pocket.
I've watched this product for a good while before I decided to try it out. It definitely works as advertised for me but it's pretty pricey for such a flimsy piece of kit. Maybe the flimseyness is necessary for flexibility in use but to me it's still pricey.
It fits in the pocket and is very functional
Combine this with a blue force gear belt mag pouch and you have the perfect pocket mag pouch
I have been using ModuLoader Pocket Sheild now for 3 weeks and I love them. I carry a spare mag and flashlight on one and on the other I have attached a fixed blade knife. They have answered my quest for a system to carry my misc. items, keeping them concealed but at hand. My only reason for not given them a 5-star rating is the fact that they could be slightly wider. If they were they would be perfect
I use this pocket shield with a Skallywag Dagger sheath mounted to it. It's set to where the loop end of the dagger is just barely visible/accessible at my pocket opening. On the draw, the pocket shield stays put and the dagger comes out of the sheath easily. Otherwise, I don't even know that I'm wearing it. That pocket does lose some other usefulness, but I don't put things in my front pockets much anyhow. I am extremely happy with this thing.
