After purchasing several holsters from Raven Holsters it was a natural choice for my Glock 19 with attached Streamlight TLR1-HL. I love my Perun G19 holster, however, was disappointed wilt my G19 with Streamlight TLR1-HL. The holster is about ½ inch long on the light side. This makes it less concealable. Shorten the holster to fit the light and it would be perfect..
Perun OWB Holster Glock with TLR1HL
The Perun LC is our flagship outside-the-waistband (OWB), light-compatible holster. It is the result of blending the best features of two of our most popular holsters, the Eidolon and the Phantom, to create a highly refined, exceptionally concealable holster.
The Perun LC is designed to be the best light-compatible, modular OWB “pancake” style holster on the market. It has a body-hugging design that rides high for maximum concealment. The body of the holster is only slightly larger than the pistol and light contained in it. This small size aids in concealment while also making the holster more comfortable while seated in a vehicle.
The body-hugging curvature of this holster is accomplished using modular belt loops. Each holster includes three pair of 1.5” belt loops (LH 10 degree cant, RH 10 degree cant, and ambi 0 degree cant), which allow the end-user to configure the ambidextrous holster body for left-handed or right-handed use, with either a 0-degree or 10-degree cant.
Retention in the Perun is crisp, defined, and consistent, thanks to innovative design features inside the holster body. The unique retention slider makes adjusting retention as simple as turning up the volume on your stereo. And unlike other holsters that use the traditional “screw through a rubber grommet” style of retention, the Perun LC’s retention will not back off after repeated drawing and re-holstering.
The Perun is compatible with most slide-mounted red-dot optics (like the Aimpoint T-1, Trijicon RMR, etc.) and accommodates suppressor-height front sights up to .350” tall. It is also fully compatible with the RCS Balor optic mount. The Glock Perun LC is compatible with generation 3-5 Glock 9mm/.40S&W/.357 Glock pistols (up to Glock 34/35 length slide) with a Streamlight TLR-1HL weapon light attached. For example, this holster will accommodate a Glock 19, Glock 17, or Glock 34 with the Streamlight TLR-1HL weapon light mounted on it.
The muzzle-end of the holster is rounded for comfort, and has an opening sufficient to accommodate most common after-market extended and threaded barrels (with thread protectors). The opening at the muzzle is also specifically designed to allow foreign objects (like spent casings) to drop out the bottom so that nothing can block your pistol from being safely re-holstered.
The ambidextrous holster body has both inboard and outboard full-height body shields. These body shields offer some protection for your pistol from sweat, as well as protecting your skin and cover garments (especially the thin material used for linings in sport coats and suit jackets) from being abraded by the serrations on the rear of the slide. They also enhance safety by helping keep cover garments and other foreign objects from falling into the mouth of the holster while you have your pistol drawn, and aid in proper, safe muzzle orientation during re-holstering.
The holster is injection molded from a proprietary, extremely high-strength polymer blend that is significantly more durable than Kydex or Boltaron. Like all RCS products, it is made in the USA, and is backed by our lifetime warranty.
PLEASE NOTE: .40 S&W and .357 Sig are calibers of ammunition. This Perun will accommodate GLOCK pistols chambered in either of those two calibers. Do not order this holster thinking it will accommodate a Sig or S&W pistol, simply because those words are part of the name of a caliber. It is a GLOCK holster and will not accommodate a S&W or Sig pistol.
I like the holster. I would agree with Carl though. The retention isn’t as tight as I would like it to be.
The site channel is tall, but very narrow! So the choice is either Change the sites to use the holster or look else ware for a holster. Did not have a problem with the phantom holsters. Also due to the range of guns this holster supports it is very long. So if thinking for concealment it does extend allot farther down than my Phantom holster that is light bearing. Editor's Note: Sorry our Perun holster does not work with your triangular sights. It is made for tradtional notch and post style sights. The Perun and the Phantom holster are equal in length. They are both as long as the light attached to the gun. Thank you
I've been holding off buying an OWB light bearing holster for sometime. RC got it right with the Perun. I knew it would be a quality holster (which it is!) and has added hardware to set it up for your preferences. I've concealed it well under a button up shirt. Retention is consistent. It's been my range set up a few times already. The draw is very smooth and the dual sweatguards help get it back in the holster better than I expected. I really like that I can use my duty G17 AND my personal G19 and not have different holsters. The only reason it's not 5 Starts for me is I prefer a bit more retention than I can get even with the adjuster maxed out. However, I am not concerned that it will come out during any dynamic movement. In the future I'd like to see belt loops available that allow for a slightly lower drop position on the hip.
Great holster for my glock 19 with tlr1. Ran some drills with it as well as conceal carried it this week. Conceals great under a t shirt. The retention adjustment is great and provides a clean draw. Overall the holster seems durable and well built. You cant go wrong with this holster.
