ACCOMMODATES THE GLOCK 43 and 43X

The Perun is our flagship outside-the-waistband (OWB) holster.  It is the result of blending the best features of two of our most popular holsters, the Eidolon and the Phantom, to create a highly refined, exceptionally concealable holster.

The Perun is designed to be the best modular OWB “pancake” style holster on the market.  It has a body-hugging design that rides high for maximum concealment.  The body of the holster is only slightly larger than the pistol contained in it.  This small size aids in concealment while also making the holster more comfortable while seated in a vehicle.

The body-hugging curvature of this holster is accomplished using modular belt loops.  Each holster includes three pair of 1.5” belt loops (LH 10 degree cant, RH 10 degree cant, and ambi 0 degree cant), which allow the end-user to configure the ambidextrous holster body for left-handed or right-handed use, with either a 0-degree or 10-degree cant.

Retention in the Perun is crisp, defined, and consistent, thanks to innovative design features inside the holster body.  The unique retention slider makes adjusting retention as simple as turning up the volume on your stereo.  And unlike other holsters that use the traditional “screw through a rubber grommet” style of retention, the Perun’s retention will not back off after repeated drawing and re-holstering.

The Perun is compatible with most slide-mounted red-dot optics (like the Aimpoint T-1, Trijicon RMR, etc.) and accommodates suppressor-height front sights up to .210” tall.  It is also fully compatible with the RCS Balor optic mount.

The muzzle-end of the holster is rounded for comfort, yet has an opening sufficient to accommodate most common after-market extended and threaded barrels (with thread protectors).  The opening at the muzzle is also specifically designed to allow foreign objects (like spent casings) to drop out the bottom so that nothing can block your pistol from being safely re-holstered.

The ambidextrous holster body has both inboard and outboard full-height body shields.  These body shields offer some protection for your pistol from sweat, as well as protecting your skin and cover garments (especially the thin material used for linings in sport coats and suit jackets) from being abraded by the serrations on the rear of the slide.  They also enhance safety by helping keep cover garments and other foreign objects from falling into the mouth of the holster while you have your pistol drawn, and aid in proper, safe muzzle orientation during re-holstering.

The holster is injection molded from a proprietary, extremely high-strength polymer blend that is significantly more durable than Kydex or Boltaron.  Like all RCS products, it is made in the USA, and is backed by our lifetime warranty.

*Legacy belt attachments are NOT compatible with the Perun holster.

Perfect for the task at hand

This holster is by far he lightest and one of the most comfortable I have ever owned. It’s construction is solid and the retention being adjustable makes it a huge win over other brands. With a narrow band compact profile it now my go to holster over IWB for both comfort and function.

My new favorite holster, hands down!

Full disclosure, I was a Bravo Concealment fan before. I recently bought a Glock 43 transitioning away from the M&P Shield I've carried for the last several years. The other caveat is I'm left-handed. Like most people, I'm always looking for that ephemeral comfortable holster both an IWB and OWB. I ordered my first Raven Concealment, the Morrigan for several reasons. I hadn't had a Raven holster yet, surprisingly, since I've pretty much had most others. The ambidextrous nature is what drew me initially. I love that holster as well. I'm not an IWB guy for comfort reasons alone. The more comfortable a holster is the higher the likelihood I'll carry. Sometimes what I'm wearing necessitates an IWB though. That said, I went to my old faithful, Bravo Concealment for a G43 OWB left handed holster. I didn't even see a drop down box to select left-handed for the 43. I figured I'd have to email a request and wait the requisite several weeks as I did when I purchased my Shield Holster. I went back over to Raven to look at the OWB holsters, the Perun Strong Side Series. Ambidextrous, low profile, minimalist nature, a lot of adjustment options, reasonably priced and would ship right away! It's now my go-to holster for OWB carry! Hands down! it's comfortable, it hugs my body snug and barely imprints if at all depending on what shirt I wear but the comfort and adjustability is clutch! I'm sold on Raven Concealment from now on! For both OWB and IWB carry! They're very well made and the adjustable retention allowed me to fine-tune this and both holsters actually, perfectly to me! All that and both shipped super fast! I'm sold on Raven. As I said, they are now my go-to for holsters!

Perun G43 good but could be great

Pros: -High build quality. -Adjustable retention. -Gun fit Cons: -Quick release snap system not included, instead almost $30. That's almost a whole holster! -Holster extends about a half inch below the muzzle for some reason -Holster rides a little lower than I was hoping. Combined with above, there's a lot hanging down for such a small gun. -Canted loops just barely canted How to get this to five stars: -Include the QLS snap belt loops with the included hardware, even if you charge a little more. OR at least be reasonable with the price. $10 would still be expensive, but easier to stomach. -Include belt loops that lift the gun a half inch or so higher. Could be reversible to drop the gun for armor. -Make the end of the holster flush or close to flush with the muzzle, it doesn't need to be so much longer! Me: Plainclothes LEO, conceal carry, and firearms instructor.

Perun

First, I will say the Perun is a comfortable holster and carries very well, but you get what you pay for. I had to set this up for a left handed shooer to borrow, and the screws securing the belt loops extruded past the rivets, leaving you unable to secure the rivet with a flathead. Thus, the hardware just spins. There was a pre-applied thread locker which didn't help, either. I was able to set this up for a lefty, but that was after spending too much time on it and chewing up the hardware and wont bother trying to set it up for right handed use again.. The retention also leaves much to be desired. Even at the strongest setting, the retention seems weak when compared to other kydex and injection molded holsters I've used. *Note: I also have a Perun for a G19 and everything is great on that one. Proper hardware, good retention, etc so YMMV. However, I wouldn't recommend this to friends/family due to the inconsistencies. Editor's note : Sorry for the problems that you had. Our designers have developed a small tool to help with changing your belt loops. It will be shipped with future Perun holsters.

PERUN

Well the pricing is good, and the concept, since having 5 of the discontinued Phantom's I will not buy anther one. I do not like the ambi body shields either.

Great holster

I like the Perun holsters. This holster fits closer to my body than the other holster I own. It is comfortable to wear. It does not have the extra material on it like the other holster. It makes the Perun have a smaller footprint. The Perun comfortable, and cancellable with a t-shirt. I like this holster!

G43 Perun Holster Review

This holster is exactly what I have been looking for in an everyday, no nonsense carry holster for my Glock 43. In all honesty I now carry every single day, as I should, because this holster makes it so easy. The price point is unbeatable on the market. The retention and quality are exactly what I expect from Raven. I have the Phantom and was expecting a similar holster, but the Perun seems to be slightly less rigid, which makes it MUCH more comfortable to carry - might just be me. It is extremely light and the belt loops fit my Filson belt perfectly, which isn't always the case as the belt is thicker than a standard dress belt. As far as drawbacks I will mention that the sweat guard extends up on both sides. I assume this is so the holster can be ambidextrous. I have noticed several times that my t-shirt will get caught on the outside piece of sweat guard. It isn't a huge deal, but is a slight annoyance. I will say that it makes reholstering very easy and secure as you can use the dual sweat guards almost like handrails to slide down into the holster. The ride is high and concealability is a breeze. I do not like inside the waistband carry, just isn't comfortable everyday, and this holster is the answer. I am very pleased with the quality at an outstanding price point. Highly recommend.
