The problem with this holster is the way it holds my gun even with unscrewing the retention screw it holds onto my glock and wont let it go without a ton of force. Bad design and very dissatisfied as it can cost you your life if you need to draw. Editor's Note: Daniel we would be more than happy to help you with your retention problem. Perun OWB Holster Glock 19 with TLR7/8
Will accommodate the Glock 19, 19x.23,26,32,44,and 45 with the TLR7, TLR7A or TLR8. The washer in the hardware kit, should be placed between the holster halves, under the retention screw, when using with TLR8.
The Perun LC is our flagship outside-the-waistband (OWB), light-compatible holster. It is the result of blending the best features of two of our most popular holsters, the Eidolon and the Phantom, to create a highly refined, exceptionally concealable holster.
The Perun LC is designed to be the best light-compatible, modular OWB “pancake” style holster on the market. It has a body-hugging design that rides high for maximum concealment. The body of the holster is only slightly larger than the pistol and light contained in it. This small size aids in concealment while also making the holster more comfortable while seated in a vehicle.
The body-hugging curvature of this holster is accomplished using modular belt loops. Each holster includes three pair of 1.5” belt loops (LH 10 degree cant, RH 10 degree cant, and ambi 0 degree cant), which allow the end-user to configure the ambidextrous holster body for left-handed or right-handed use, with either a 0-degree or 10-degree cant.
Retention in the Perun is crisp, defined, and consistent, thanks to innovative design features inside the holster body. The unique retention slider makes adjusting retention as simple as turning up the volume on your stereo. And unlike other holsters that use the traditional “screw through a rubber grommet” style of retention, the Perun LC’s retention will not back off after repeated drawing and re-holstering.
The Perun is compatible with most slide-mounted red-dot optics (like the Aimpoint T-1, Trijicon RMR, etc.) and accommodates suppressor-height front sights up to .350” tall. It is also fully compatible with the RCS Balor optic mount. The Glock Perun LC is compatible with generation 3-5 Glock 9mm/.40S&W/.357 Compact Glock pistols with a Streamlight TLR-7/8 weapon light attached. For example, this holster will accommodate a Glock 19, with the Streamlight TLR-7/8 weapon light mounted on it. (Optimized for Glock Gen 5, will also accommodate Gen 3 & Gen 4.)
The muzzle-end of the holster is rounded for comfort, and has an opening sufficient to accommodate most common after-market extended and threaded barrels (with thread protectors). The opening at the muzzle is also specifically designed to allow foreign objects (like spent casings) to drop out the bottom so that nothing can block your pistol from being safely re-holstered.
The ambidextrous holster body has both inboard and outboard full-height body shields. These body shields offer some protection for your pistol from sweat, as well as protecting your skin and cover garments (especially the thin material used for linings in sport coats and suit jackets) from being abraded by the serrations on the rear of the slide. They also enhance safety by helping keep cover garments and other foreign objects from falling into the mouth of the holster while you have your pistol drawn, and aid in proper, safe muzzle orientation during re-holstering.
The holster is injection molded from a proprietary, extremely high-strength polymer blend that is significantly more durable than Kydex or Boltaron. Like all RCS products, it is made in the USA, and is backed by our lifetime warranty.
PLEASE NOTE: .40 S&W and .357 Sig are calibers of ammunition. This Perun will accommodate GLOCK pistols chambered in either of those two calibers. Do not order this holster thinking it will accommodate a Sig or S&W pistol, simply because those words are part of the name of a caliber. It is a GLOCK holster and will not accommodate a S&W or Sig pistol.
Excellent holster overall. Have had it for a couple months and I like that it fits snug to my body and is not at all bulky making it easy to conceal with just a shirt over it. It fits the Streamlight TLR-7A Flex which has a different switch than the TLR-7. Hopefully it will become available in other color options. I would recommend this holster.
amazing holster! gun fits tight and holster snugs to side.
Gen3 with TLR8 Fits like a dream. I did have to reduce the retension power to have a easier draw. Editor's Note: The TLR8 light has a larger dimension than the TLR7. There is a washer in your hardware kit. If you place this washer between the two holster halves, it will loosen the retention for you. Remove the belt loop, and then slide the washer between the holster pieces.
I was watching the “Gun Guys” Wilson & Hackathorne and they mentioned y’all in a video. I liked what I saw on your website because you had exactly what I was looking for. I got it quick after making the purchase. I’m running a g19 with the TLR7 and a Vortex Venom red dot. the retention is outstanding. This is the best of the many holsters I have. I wont go anywhere else now that I’ve found y’all.
Good retention, keeps the gun close to your body and its pretty comfortable for open carry in the woods. 4/5 stars because they don't have any larger belt loops available.
When I switched to the TLR7, I tried modifying a couple holsters to fit, but the pressure activation was a major issue. The Perun is an excellent platform for the TLR7. No issues with accidental activation of the switch. Secure fit and good draw. Most impressively, it conceals extremely well for an OWB. holster. My only knock is that I'd rather see a left/right option without the dual guards. I wound up cutting the outside guard to make for easier re-holstering, and it's a dream. I get that it streamlines the production and probably helps the cost be as affordable as it is, but I have hesitation when I find a need to modify a brand new holster.
I really like this holster. It’s light weight and conceals well for me. As another poster has said I wish I could make the retention a little tighter. Retention is really the only ding I have against this holster. It is tighter when you have it on but both my Glock 19 Gen3 and 19X feel lose in it. I’m using the TLR7 so don’t know if that makes a difference. Editor's note: The holster is shipped with the retention for a Gen 5 Glock. There is a washer between the retention hardware. If you remove the washer the retention should be a bit tighter. If you still have problems, you are welcome to contact our customer service at email@example.com
Bought this for everyday carry of my Gen 5 Glock 19 with TLR7. Holster works well, quick draws and it doesn't print much with an un tucked T shirt. Price is fair and I would recommend this holster.
Awesome holster, very configurable. Wasn’t sure about the body shields on both sides but figured out when re-holstering to come from behind, the shields guide the pistol right into the holster. This holster holds closer to the body than any conceal holster I have ever worn but is still very easy to draw. I am going to order another and set it up for crossdraw which I prefer to appendix carry. Have tried a lot of holsters this will be my carry holster from now on. Lightweight, fast, secure, comfortable and great quality, am very happy.
